A significant year lies ahead in European politics. 2019 will see European Parliament elections, a new European Commission and President and the likely finalisation of the outcomes from the Brexit negotiations. E!Sharp Live brought together key political figures and commentators to analyse and debate the future of the Union, and to look at some of the major domestic developments taking place around the EU. The conference also looked at prospects for the transatlantic relationship, responsible business particularly as it relates to digital businesses, and asked some searching questions with regards trade, immigration and the free movement of people.
E!Sharp Live 2019 once again shone a spotlight on the role of satire and the political cartoonist, this year featuring a presentation of the work of Andy Davey. Andy has been published in The Guardian, The Times, The Sun, The Independent, The Independent on Sunday, The Scotsman, Private Eye, Spectator, Prospect, Squib, E!Sharp and the New Statesman to name a few.
